AMAPP is offering Peer Supervision sessions for paid members!
Please see our calendar for details on our next session.
What is AMAPP peer supervision?
A small group of AMAPP members who meet to discuss aspects of psychedelic-assisted therapy in their practice. The groups are confidential and open to accredited AMAPP members, with numbers capped at 10 participants and offered online for 90 minutes. Therapists, community or peer workers, researchers, medical practitioners, nurses and clinicians are all welcome to attend. The supervision model is one of reflective practice and collaborative peer support.
What happens in an AMAPP peer supervision group?
Our supervision sessions are facilitated by an AMAPP accredited supervisor with experience in the practice of psychedelic assisted therapy. However, all group participants are encouraged to contribute to facilitate learning and sharing of diverse experience and perspectives on psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Are there any guidelines or structure to group supervision?
The group is for discussion of clinical work, reflections and themes around the provision of legal psychedelic assisted therapy and harm minimisation, in line with AMAPP values and position statement. To get the most out of supervision, it is recommended to come prepared by bringing a question, reflection, de-identified clinical case or theme to discuss. Alternatively, you may attend with the intention just to listen from peers and learn from others in the group. The supervisor’s role is to guide the group, provide clinical input and facilitate discussion. Participants should refer to AMAPP peer supervision agreement for further information.
